Hi, I'm Jennifer Lovick Marshall. I'm a health coach and functional nutrition practitioner at Coaching U 2 Health. My goal is to help you heal your body so that you can improve the quality of your life, and enjoy all of the things that you enjoyed in your youth or before your body began feeling fatigued and overcome with pain and weight gain.
In 2003, I had my second of three children. He was born with digestive issues. Within the first two days of birth, he was jaundiced and had trouble passing his bowls. Another month later, he began getting respiratory infections and was later diagnosed with asthma. I felt like I stayed in Children's Hospital. Either in the emergency room due to asthma attacks or for doctor's appointments trying to figure out why he was having a hard time passing his bowls.
By the time my son was three years old, he was diagnosed with chronic constipation. From that point, I begin my journey in nutrition and wellness for my son. I did not want to keep giving my child laxatives and other medications to give him relief, but wouldn't help or heal his condition. So, with consent research and adventuring into new ways of eating I made a lot of changes to improve the health of my child.
But that’s not the worst part.
The worst part is that when I went off each diet, I’d continue eating healthy but I gave myself more wiggle room with what I ate and how much. And that’s when the weight came back on… every_single_ time! Maybe you can relate and know how defeating this is.
My low point was a few months after the last restrictive diet I followed… when I realized that I had gained all the weight back and THEN some.
That’s when I decided that there HAD to be a better way.
I made it my life’s work to study the real science about food and nutrition and learn why I was struggling for so many years - and I learned how to heal my metabolism so I could not only lose the weight, but keep it off for good.
